Do you all know all the hardwork your have been through for this trip?
Remember all the preparation for the auditions?
The time your SLs, SCs and teachers put in for you?
What about all the countless times myself, Weiying, Crystal and Abi lectured and screamed at all of you.
We don't do this for fun,
and if you think going to Italy is for fun, then stop thinking that way.
You know how much time Mr Kwei put in for the auditions?
He was so particular because he wanted to get it spot-on.
Italy is serious business, not something you can treat lightly.
Once you have passed the auditions,
it shows that Mr Kwei trusts you.
You know all the hard decisions myself and weiying had to make while discussing with Mr Kwei?
We had to make many difficult decisions.
So, ask yourself, after all the hard work you put in, and after all the work the comm has put in, and after all the trust Mr Kwei has put in you, do you think it is right for you to choose not to go to Italy?
You know how all those that did not pass feel?
Just think about it, is it really right for you to choose not to go, and yet leave all those that didn't pass feeling upset and dejected?
Please, just think about it.
I am really disappointed in some people.
Don't treat this lightly okay?
SY

In addition to what Siu Yen's just posted, I just want to say that if anyone of you has got a problem with anyone in the choir, come to us (Chairman/Vice-chairman/SL/SC) and we can talk things out. Don't keep it pent up or anything, alright?
-
That aside, I really want to tell all of you that, regardless if you got past the auditions or not, or if you got the solo part or not, it doesn't change the fact that you're part of the Choir and each and everyone of you matter!!
Sure, you'd feel dejected if you didn't do as well as you'd expected, but it doesn't mean that you're not good enough (if you weren't, you wouldn't be here, trust me). This is just one opportunity, and there would be many more others to come. At the risk of sounding cliched (but it's true!), start working on your weaknesses and just improve on them. Take in what our conductors and SLs teach, and not roll your eyes when they scold you.
If anyone's still feeling down or anything, you can approach us. Siu Yen's giving away hugs btw ^^

Choir, let me just say this:
Except for the music comm, no one has the right to criticise your singing in a non-constructive way. In other words, no one has the right to tell you that your singing sucks without offering valid reasons/advice. Your SL would say that your singing may not be up to standard, or maybe they may say your singing sucks, but thats different. The SLs know what they're talking about, and they want to help you.
If your singing has ever been criticised by anyone other than the music comm in a negative connotation, please inform your SLs, SCs and Chairman/Vice-Chairman.
This is important, Siu Yen.

Saturday 9 January, report to school at 8:00am in FULL choir costume. (Alternatively, you could come to school earlier and change, as long as you are WEARING your FULL costume by 8:00am when you report, its fine.)
I wonder who designed this? :D (Don't whoop my ass Clement/Jared!)

Happy New Year everybody!
As you all know, we'll soon be auditioning new students to join TK CHOIR!
At the moment, I need anyone interested to help out to be motivators.
Basically, all you have to do is talk to the sec 1s while they are waiting to be auditioned.
You'll also facilitate in getting them to fill in forms.
You'll have to let the sec 1s know more about choir.
Right now, I've already drawn up a plan (not confirmed yet) for the choir auditions:
If you've not already been allocated a post, please be a motivator!
Miss Lui strongly encourages Sec 2s (2010) to be motivators coz y'all can relate best to the new sec 1s of TK!
If you're interested, please email me at siuyen_lo@hotmail.com or sms me at 91527850 (I won't reply)
Just note that you'll have to stay back on the first 2 days of school till 5! (I say, get used to staying back)
Alumni! I'll also need your help on both days for auditioning!
Thank You everyone :D!
Siu Yen.
